Procurement

  • Sourcing evaluation – Helping determine the appropriate locations for sourcing based on quality, price, shipping, duties, tariffs, and quantities.
  • Supplier identification – Networking to determine viable manufacturers with experience in your products.
  • Translations – Native speakers available for all areas of Asia.
  • Supply audits – On site visits to check tooling and processes as required. Are they really UL certified? We can verify all certifications with the certifying agency.

Manufacturing

  • New product design – While China is known for an amazing ability to “reverse” engineer just about anything, new product design is best sent to India. India enjoys a wealth of low cost and high quality engineering in most disciplines.
  • Quality control audits – Are they really ISO certified? What are their sampling processes and handling procedures? We have in house trained staff that can verify quality processes or be on site to verify quality standards for each shipment.
  • Schedule verification – There is no mystery to meeting production deadlines, it involves meeting milestone tasks on time. We can verify on site that production is on schedule by reviewing the process and resources dedicated to your product.
  • Packaging – Siam River has its own in house packaging, we can design and package your product to your specifications. This service prevents your product from showing up on shelves throughout the world branded with your name but without your knowledge.
  • Intellectual property protection – About the only way to protect your rights and keep a product secure in Asia is to build and staff your own manufacturing facility. Once the design is tooled and enters production, the odds are very good that you will not be getting 100% of the total production from contracted suppliers not directly under your management. We offer a number of services to protect your product including such things as in house assembly and packaging. By sourcing components from different manufacturers and assembling in house, we can help you keep control of the product and maintain exclusivity.
  • Tooling controls – Tooling is expensive and we have tooling control services to reduce your costs and losses. We can offer in house controlled storage of tooling as well as monitoring during production. This helps insure your tools are not making parts for your competition during slow times.

Logistics

  • Warehousing – We keep warehouse facilities in China and Thailand to store your product for guaranteed on time delivery. Asia sourcing is not a JIT procurement process. Your saving will be impacted by the need to plan better and keep higher inventories. Inventory costs in Asia are much lower than in the US or Europe. Keep your product securely here, safe in the knowledge that it is ready for shipment and lower the costs of inventory.
  • LCL Consolidation – Many of our customers buy a wide variety of goods out of Asia from many different manufacturers. We can consolidate your many products from different sources into full container loads for much lower freight rates and handling charges.
  • Shipping & duties – We offer complete shipping services and can provide duty determinations for your exact product classifications.
  • Brand repackaging – With our in house packaging operation, we can find factory closeouts and repackage them according to your branding requirements for direct delivery to your end customer. This protects your customer base from direct contact with your Asian manufacturers.

Visit facilitation

We can meet your plane on arrival, arrange transportation and lodging for your visit, and set up meetings with government and business contacts. We can also make all your travel and transportation arrangements including interpreters with briefings on local social customs and business etiquette.
